Metallica Reaches Third In Sales During SoundScan Era
Since 1991, Nielsen SoundScan has been keeping tabs on music sales, and since that time, Metallica has sold 54.26 million albums, enough to etch themselves in the third position behind Garth Brooks and The Beatles.
