Hi. Hello. Welcome to 2018. As you force yourselves back into society after a long, carb-stacked holiday weekend and confront the monotony of “work” and “responsibility,” you may find yourself in need of a little pick-me-up. Enter the #KyloRenChallenge, courtesy of OG f—k boy John Mayer. Motivated by Adam Driver’s shirtless, beefy and oh-so-high-waisted bod in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Mayer shared his own take on the Look and inspired men everywhere (or on Instagram, whatever) to do the same. We’re not only here for it, but we would like to express our full, unwavering support for this ridiculous endeavor.

Star Wars Day always brings us new ways to appreciate the galaxy far, far away. This year we got a gift from some clever editors at ‘The Tonight Show,’ who managed to string together clips from all eight Star Wars movies (‘Rogue One’ included) to re-create the first verse of Smash Mouth’s “All Star.” If that sounds like it shouldn’t work at all, we agree. But it does.

‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ Gets an Official Release Date
When Lucasfilm initially announced Star Wars: Episode IX, the tentative plan was to release it in theaters on May 23, 2019 — that date was never confirmed, however, and when the studio shifted their releases to December (with the exception of the young Han Solo spinoff), everyone just assumed that it was only a matter of time before Episode IX’s release date was changed, too. That’s definitely not the case, as Disney and Lucasfilm have announced a metric Jabba-ton of new release dates, officially confirming the final film in their Star Wars trilogy for May 24, 2019.

We’ve got 11 long months to go before anyone will get a look at Star Wars: Episode VIII, so Lucasfilm has tried to pace itself with leaking details of the hotly anticipated upcoming release. Today, however, they dropped a big one: on the official Star Wars web site, a new announcement revealed the subtitle for the eighth installment in what the site refers to as “the Skywalker saga.” The post declared, “We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy. In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI.”

Carrie Fisher’s Obituary Request Was Typically Witty and Wonderful
Today we mourn the loss of Carrie Fisher: Iconic actor, talented author, brilliant script doctor and, most of all, an incomparable force to be reckoned with. There are so many great adjectives you could use to describe Fisher: Uncompromising, unapologetic, fierce, witty, relatable, real, honest. She took all of those qualities and put them to work in her books — from memoirs to novels, Fisher had a knack for telling poignant and painful stories with wit and wisdom. Writing a worthy obituary for one of the best and boldest women on this planet or any other is surely an impossible task…so it’s a good thing that the perfect obit basically already exists, and unsurprisingly, Fisher came up with it herself.
