The English Language Can Deceive Even An American

I have heard people say that English should be made the official language of the U.S.A. On one hand I can understand why some people would feel that way, but on the other I think that is the most ridiculous idea ever. I understand people think we need an official language, and that is OK, but first I think 'we" as Americans should have to master it before suggesting others should use it if they are in "our" country.

First the word "there" is not interchangable for the words "their" or "they're."

Seen is not the same as scene, and for the love of all that is good and holy if you witnessed something in the past you did not seen it, you saw it.

I am not trying to imply by writing this that I am right, I am only encouraging people to read, rather than be read to on such topics.

I mean really the English language is hard enough for those of us that grow up using it to master with all the dual spellings and rules like "i" before "e" except after "c."

Seriously, this language is weird...
