We’ve all seen our friends post the little ‘legal notice’ that is meant to protect our privacy rights now that Facebook is a publicly traded company. I’m sure you have thought about posting that notice yourself, but will it actually help protect your privacy?

Nope. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. Common sense would have suggested you agreed to Facebook’s legal terms, including the privacy policy, before you were granted an account.

However, if common sense doesn’t prevail, check Snopes.

Think about it, if all you have to do is a post a stupid little message on your Facebook page for it to be true, then I would be the greatest man ever to walk this earth. Why? Because I posted that the other day.
