Former 'Saturday Night Live' and '30 Rock' actor Tracy Morgan is in critical condition after a six-vehicle accident in New Jersey, reports CNN.

Morgan was riding in a limo bus which was carrying Morgan and five other passengers. The limo bus was involved in a traffic accident on the New Jersey Turnpike which also included two tractor-trailers, an SUV and two cars. Morgan's limo bus was the only vehicle that overturned. The accident occurred around 1 a.m. ET Saturday morning.

"Looks like one of the tractor-trailers may have rear-ended that limo bus, but that's preliminary at this time," said Sgt. Gregory Williams of the New Jersey State Police.

One person was killed and seven others were hospitalized with injuries. Preliminary reports indicate that the fatality was a passenger in Morgan's bus. Authorities say that they did not believe alcohol played a factor in the accident, but that an investigation is ongoing.

Morgan was traveling from Dover, Delaware where he performed earlier that evening at the Dover Downs Casino.
