I would like to encourage Taylor Swift to visit my town.

It would be awesome if Taylor Swift would visit us in Lubbock, so if somebody could pass this along to her, I'd appreciate it.

Dear Taylor,

Congratulations on your amazing tour. All I have heard is rave reviews or your top-notch performances and productions. Somehow you manage to make each show special and all of your fans matter. This juggernaut of a road show boosts the tourism economy of every town you play and you bring everyone together for these special moments.

I live in Lubbock, Texas. It's not a "major market". You will never make the amount of money here that you make in say Dallas, but that doesn't mean it's not chump change. We have United Spirit Arena here that seats 15,000, and probably less than that with your stage production. There are, in fact, a lot of 12,000+ arenas that you had to pass by.

So why not double back and hit these "secondary markets"? Again, you won't be able to garner the same payday as the big shows, but think of it this way, you're already in tour shape, the production is already in place, and you have so many fans who cannot travel to the major markets.

We hope a tour of these secondary markets is something you'll consider. Our friends in Metallica did it and by all accounts, everyone did well and everyone had a good time. I know you've gone out of your way to visit fans before on an individual basis, so think of this as getting face time with the fans on a level somewhere between that and the mega shows.

Please consider making Lubbock a stop. We could use the publicity, the tourism, and a little of that "Taylor-shine" that might make other artists consider our town.

Sincerely,

Your friend in the radio business, Wes Nessman

P.S.  I'd like to do the show introduction. It would be awesome.
