AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd's legal woes have been well documented, but things almost got worse for the musician when a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Rudd was scheduled to appear in court in New Zealand, but failed to arrive on time. According to Vintage Vinyl News, Justice Timothy Brewer of the High Court in Tauranga issued a warrant for Rudd's arrest at 9AM, but gave him a 30 minute grace period to arrive. A few minutes later, Rudd turned up.

The rocker was in the New Zealand courtroom to answer to the charge of threatening to kill a man as well as two drug possession charges for methamphetamine and cannabis. He did not enter a plea, and after the brief hearing, he had his bodyguard give him a piggyback ride back to his car. He then backed up the vehicle into the path of an oncoming truck, almost causing an accident. The Daily Mail posted photos of the incident here.

Rudd is set to return to court on Dec. 2, which also is the release date for AC/DC's new 'Rock or Bust' album.

With his legal woes, Rudd's status with AC/DC remains in doubt. The band has already expressed that they intend to tour in 2015, but no mention has been made about whether Rudd will be a part of the run. In an interview, Angus Young said of Rudd, "That guy needs to sort himself out," while also revealing that the Rudd that showed up for their 'Rock or Bust' sessions was not the guy they've known in the past.

Rudd was absent from the band's recent video shoots for 'Play Ball' and 'Rock or Bust.'
