Boston Returns The Favor, Drops Second Game

Jared Wickerham/Getty Images

The second game didn’t bring as many fireworks, but it did bring some smiles to Cards fans and some uneasy disappointment in Beantown.

The Cards took the first lead in the fourth inning, only to surrender that lead to Big Papi and Company in the sixth. The Cardinals would end up battling back just before the Seventh Inning Stretch thanks to the bats of Matt Carpenter, Pete Kozma, Jon Jay, Carlos Beltran and Daniel Delasco.

With the series knotted up at 1-1, we travel to Busch Stadium in an assumed hotbed of Cardinal Red.

We’ll keep you posted on Game 3 Saturday night.
