Oh, it's a about to get real here. First off let me explain something to you that I learned from Penn Jillette, the taller half of Penn & Teller.

What I learned from Penn is that chocolate made from "dairy milk" is smoother and more velvety on the tongue. The term "dairy milk" means that the chocolate was made with fresh milk and not (formerly) dehydraded milk. Most products made with "dairy milk" are labeled as such.

Now apparently Cadbury Eggs, whose full name are "Cadbury Creme Eggs" have always been made from dairy milk in the U.K, but times are changing.  The eggs are now being made of regular "Cadbury Milk Chocolate" and candy aficionados are losing their minds. That isn't the only part of the cutback either, the eggs which where often sold in six packs, are now being sold in five packs for the same price. Cadbury themselves gave the lamest of excuses saying that costs of the ingredients have gone up and that they have never advertised the eggs as "dairy milk".

Cadbury Eggs have been apart of my chocolate experience for some time now. I was also stocked when they started selling them for Halloween as "Cadbury Screme Eggs". I am totally bumming now, because I missed out on this chocolate experience in the states. I'm not a guy who is known for subtlety, I rarely can discern small differences in taste, but I DO know my chocolate and having already been a fan, it sucks I won't get to know "the ultimate egg". It's all good though, I know the secret of "dairy milk" and will just pick up bars marked as such when I get in the mood for quality chocolate.
