After yet another leadoff base-on-balls giving up by the Rangers C.J. Wilson, Allen Craig's pinch-hit to right, turned out to be all the Cardinals would need to take Game 1 of the 2011 World Series 3-2 to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead in the Fall Classic.

Craig's bottom of the sixth pinch-hit, was the first go ahead pinch-hit in the World Series since Wade Boggs did it in 1996. Going into Game 1, the thought was the series would a display of power, but the Cardinals played classsic National League type baseball;  pitching and defense for the Game 1 win.  Game 2, Thursday at 7:05pm.
