We had some listeners ripped off when buying Xfest tickets and we're not happy about it. The problem is secondary ticket sellers and the only answer is education. What they are doing is legal, but I think we can all agree its a very, very shady practice. More after the jump.
March 24, 2013 We started our promotion for the Ultimate Guitar Give Away back in December where one lucky listener would walk away with a Schecter guitar signed by 6 bands. Our winner had to wait 3 months and now she gets to collect her prize.
Well folks the weekend is in full swing now. If you're one of the party types you are probably getting ready to hit the bars and see what sort of trouble you can get into. If you're the laid back stay at home type (OK, married), you are probably looking for ways to get lucky.
I have been to thousands of rock shows in my life time, and I can honestly say I have seen some pretty crazy stuff. Most rock shows you expect to see drunk people doing what drunk people do... some are having fun laughing and dancing, others are more like angry drunks and will pick a fight with anyone who they "think" looks at them funny.

March 22, 2013 There are some people that have been waiting for this day since we first announced X-Fest 10. Well its finally here and I have your day already lined out for you.
Concert security is there to keep you, the bands and the rest of the crowd safe. They are not mean or hateful. Most of the time, you will only see them at their most stressful times; getting people into the show, making sure no fights break out and getting people out of the show. More after the jump.
Hours before the gates opened, a small band of FMX winners gathered at the Lone Star Amphitheater in Lubbock, Texas. (3-11-13) After a quick stop at the merchandise booth to buy signable items, the small band of Volbeat fans soon found themselves on their way back stage to meet the band. No one was disappointed. It never fails, at every show out at the Lonestar Event Center, the question most asked...what do I need to bring. I can tell you the one thing I always find hilarious; is the sight of some pretty girl in a tight fitting skirt wearing 5-inch stiletto heels for a 4 hour outdoor concert! Hey, if that's what you want to wear, it's allowed!
