Did You Wake Up Offended This Morning?

Last night I performed my first same sex marriage. It was a marriage. That's about it. It was no more fun, weird, crazy or different than any other marriage.  It was just some nice guys who have already been together 17 years.

They didn't get married to offend anyones religion. They didn't do it to take advantage of any law. Let me repeat, they have been together 17 years.  I found this article that says the average marriage in America lasts 8 years.  For those of you knocking this math around in your head, they've already been together twice as long as most couples. They don't hurt anyone, they don't force their views on anyone, they just wanted to be officially together.

Let this be a reminder that the earth didn't shake, and overall you had no idea that anything at all had happened. No one got hurt and there was no "in your face" moment. That's the way it is now, no hoopla, just another couple making a commitment to each other.
