Both the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans need significant help this offseason, and I think we've identified the next great linebacker. Her name is Phyliss.

Does she have any collegiate eligibility? Texas Tech Head Coach Matt Wells loves transfer linebackers.

Phyliss Pena is a suburban mom who don't take no crap off of nobody, especially suspected peeping Toms who were allegedly trying to see in her daughter's window. "First instinct was just to make sure he didn't go any further," Phyllis Pena told KPRC-2 Houston.

The setup is that Pena is standing outside with a suspected Peeping Tom, 19-year-old Zane Hawkins, and the Lake Jackson Police Department when the alleged peeper takes off. Pena reacts, quickly scraping downhill, identifying the ball carrier and hitting across the bough for a perfect form tackle.

You can see her spotlight with the news station here:

"My next step is to try out for the NFL," Phyllis Pena said via her Facebook page.

The dashcam video of the incident really shows off Pena's skill. Looking like Mike Singletary, you can see the focus in Pena's eyes as she tackles Hawkins to the pavement.

"The cop fist-bumped me and he was like, 'Hey, so I heard the Texans are looking for a new linebacker," Pena said.

The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans had a combined 10 wins in 2020 and were absolutely pitiful on defense.

Is that crazy? Not really. She has some obvious reaction skills and is obviously tough enough to take on a runner on the pavement.

According to KSAT.com, Hawkins was booked on February 1st and charged with resisting arrest, evading arrest, and possession. His bond was set at $15,000, records from the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office show.
