As the world anxiously awaits the May 19 release of Sol Invictus, Faith No More's first studio album since 1997, Rhino Records has announced they will reissue a couple of the band's early records. The Real Thing and Angel Dust will return on June 9.

The two-disc editions will include the original album and a second rarities disc. See the track listings below. In August the reissues will be released on 180 gram heavyweight black vinyl. The double LPs will include the original album and a selection of the rarities.

Originally released in 1989, The Real Thing is Faith No More's most commercially successful album. It was certified platinum and peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart. It spawned the top 10 radio hit "Epic," which also had a pretty iconic video as well. "Falling to Pieces" also received significant airplay at radio.

That album's follow-up, 1992's Angel Dust, actually charted higher, landing at No. 10, but sales-wise was certified gold. The single "Midlife Crisis" topped the alternative chart, and the Commodores cover "Easy" also enjoyed some chart success.

Faith No More are currently on tour, and play the first of two shows at the Wiltern in Los Angeles tonight (April 23). For all their dates, go here.
