Hub City BBQ Cook-off

If you love that fine Texas barbecue, make plans to make the ol' hip-hip to the BBQ pit on September 18 for the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce 13th annual Hub City BBQ Cook-off.

Most of us know there's nothing better than tasty yard-bird, ribs, sausage, and melt in your mouth smoked brisket. When over 135 competitors gather to find out who can serve up the best meat in Lubbock; you know it's going to get serious.

The event will feature young rockers from The School of Rock, and Bart Crow will put us all in the mood to scoot-a-boot.

The 13th annual Hub City BBQ Cookoff gets fired up on the 18th of September at 5 p.m. on Broadway from Ave. J through Ave. O.
