Hurt And Smile Empty Soul Record Alice In Chains Classic

Have you ever liked a song by an artist who you normally don't care for and think, "man this song would really rock if ... (whoever that may be) did a cover of it.

That is sort of how I feel about the song "No Excuses" by Alice In Chains. Don't get me wrong, I like Alice in Chains just fine, but they are not one of my favorite bands.

Today, I heard that two bands (who also happen to be touring together) that I really like have done just that.

The guys from Smile Empty Soul and Hurt were scheduled to appear at The MachineShop in Michigan,on November 2. So the day before the gig the guys all headed to Rochester Hills' 37 Studios and recorded a studio version of the Alice in Chains song.

I have not heard the finished product yet, but I can't wait!
