Well, there has been another mass shooting and my Facebook feed is full of debates. I thought I'd weigh in a little bit, not to really take sides but to maybe add a little moderation to the conversations.

So, can we talk about guns without being anti-gun? I certainly would hope so. Cars have a lot of positive and negative things about them too, but nobody gets into a screaming fit about making cars safer.  Science does appear to show that gun availability is correlated to gun violence. Here's the weird thing, gun ownership is actually going down. Think about that for a second, less people have guns, but the ones that have them are more likely to use them.   See, there's a lot of odd facts when you start dissecting the issue. The second half of the gun violence argument seems to be peoples need for attention. They are actually killing to "be famous". The media finally seems to be doing their part. I have no idea who the shooter in Oregon was, and that's how these dirtbags need to be treated.

I'm actually not for gun control. I don't care what you do with your gun, our sex life or your paycheck. Once again though, when your rights infringe on mine, we're going to have a problem. Mass shootings tend to infringe on innocent peoples lives.

On the next blog, we're going to have some real fun, by defusing some of the slogans and nonsense that people throw into the discussion to distract from the facts.
