My boy from Washington University has finally earned his time in the spotlight, as Head Coach Mike Munchak announced that Jake Locker will start and lead the team on week one of the regular season.

The second year man will get his shot on September 9, against the New England Patriots in Tennessee.

The announcement of the starting position has gotten some mixed reviews. Many believe that he's ready and will grab the reins with full force; however, some believe this is much too soon and that he needs to be benched for a bit longer behind the veteran Matt Hasselbeck.

I honestly think that it's time to let Locker start. Bring it on!
