Lubbock Mayor Responds To Racist Accusations On The RockShow [AUDIO]

We love Mayor Glen Robertson. He’s about as plain spoken and “common man” as they come. In all of our dealings and talks with him on and off the air we have never gotten the sense that he’s got a mean bone in his body. Now he’s come under attack and the attack is so AMAZINGLY RIDICULOUS that we had to ask him about it.

The Texas Tech Chinese Staff And Faculty Association say that the mayor continues to portray the head of LP&L as being “dishonest”.  That’s it.  How that is racist is WAY BEYOND ME.  I guess they might have a leg to stand on if they claimed the Mayor was calling him a crook or something, but that’s not a race issue.  I have never even heard of a “dishonest Chinese” stereotype.  This is beyond a reach, it’s pure invention.  Oh, and by the way, one of the members of the TTU organization making this accusation is THE WIFE of the guy the mayor is accused of picking on.  In short, this whole thing stinks to high heaven.  Well, this is about as boring as this gets because we actually had a lot of fun sorting it out with the mayor.  Check it out:
