Well, I'd certainly say the first of Lubbock's Downtown Farmer's Markets was a huge success.  It's not even time for the produce to be out, but that didn't keep the crowds from enjoying all kinds of cool locally made and grown items.

I do believe this little Saturday happening is going to be a "thing" for me.  Why not get your ass out of bed for a bit and see what's going on?  It's social, it's a little exercise and you can pick up a few items that you probably needed anyways.

We returned home from our first farmers market with locally roasted coffee, some amazing cinnamon rolls, an orange cake and some very cool suckers for the nieces and nephews. In addition we had some hot cups of coffee and probably the best cherry-limeade that exists on this planet.

There's tons of cool crafts and craft making supplies too. I'm still trying to figure out where I'd use some of that chalk paint they were selling, but I know I'd use it somewhere.

You can find out more about the market here.
