Georgia took down #2 Florida, Washington took down the undefeated Beavers of Oregon State, Arizona beat #9 USC, and Kent State took it to #15 Rutgers. Nebraska also spanked down #22 Michigan, Miami of Ohio surprised in-state opponent Ohio, who was also undefeated, and #25 Wisconsin was handed a loss by unranked MSU team.

In the NFL Sunday, the Giants squeezed out a win in Dallas, Cleveland won their second game in a driving rainstorm against San Diego, the Patriots trumped the Rams in London, the Colts squeaked out of Nashville with an overtime heartbreaker, and Chicago came from behind to edge the Panthers by a point at home.

NASCAR has a new points leader, as Jimmie Johnson took that lead and the checkered flag Sunday; the driver will compete in the AAA500 next week in Dallas, Texas.
