Neugebaur Pees On Littlefields Immigration Parade

Congressman Randy Neugebauer is exactly what it wrong with America now.  He has completely forgotten about his constituents and their needs because he toes the party line.  If you haven't noticed, no matter what, he belongs to the party of "no".

The people of Littlefield have an empty prison. It's sucking money out of their community. They have a pitch in to house the recent surge of illegal immigrants until they can be dealt with properly.  It would mean a nice economic boost for Littlefield and it would mean that we can return these people to their homeland in a responsible manner.  The good people of Littlefield are willing to open their town up as an Ellis Island of a sort. Even our mayor has sent Littlefield a letter of support.  Neugebauer has now come out strongly against this saying the immigrants should be "sent home immediately".

This border crisis has become a right wing talking point with threats of taking guns to
"help defend the border".  My question is, "from what, kids?".  Are you going to shoot 14 and 15 year olds?  Is that what America is about?  I'm also surprised that no one has brought up the Cuban Boat Crisis of 1980 which had twice as many refugees and had very little effect on the Florida economy. If this isn't a "good time" to help other people, then when will be a "good time"?  I don't think just pointing a gun at kids and telling them to "turn around" is the solution.  Yep, it's going to cost money. Yep, it could drag on.  The fact is, this is AMERICA and we were built on surges of immigrants like this so we have a responsibility to not be dicks about it when it happens again.  At any point in our history our forefathers could have said "no Irish", "no Germans" or you pick your ethnic group and you wouldn't be here.  Even then, no one is inviting these people to stay, we're just talking about returning them in a safe and prudent manner.

Anyways, we have a problem. Littlefield has a solution. Even the U.N. is calling on the U.S. to treat the immigrants as refugees. Neugebaur doesn't care that it will help Littlefield.  He cares only about his talking points.  He continues to be one of the most useless sycophant congressmen in the entire United States Of America.
