It's that time of the year when everyone feels it's their moral duty to tell you what Christmas is all about....and I care about that as much as I care about the people still playing Pokemon.

The "reason for season" in terms of religion was lost long ago. Sorry, I hate to tell you this, but you're the ones that wake up on Christmas morning and go to the tree instead of going to church.  Thus, when someone says "Merry Christmas" to me, I note no religious overtones in the sentiment at all.

Happy Holidays seems appropriate at times because there are multiple days to celebrate. I still like to go with "Happy Krimpins" which is how one of the Beatles (I think John) referred to it on a fan club Christmas record.

I see no reason why anybody would take objection to any of these sayings as long as the person is saying it is trying to be nice. I really don't think it takes on any more meaning than "have a good day" and that's alright by me.

I personally hope you have a wonderful, Merry Christmas and happy holidays. I hope that you get to smile, spend time with family and friends, and do a little something for someone else.
