Here is a perfect example of why people voicing their opinion matters.

Late Wednesday night (early Thursday morning), word got out to several local bar owners about the proposed city wide sound ordinance that would basically prevent everyone (with a few exceptions) from having any noise over 70 decibels or face a hefty fine.

Once the word got out, people assembled and showed up at the city counsel meeting to voice their thoughts and displeasure with this proposal.

After hearing from several members of the community, the council decided to postpone their decision on this issue pending further information and research.

Resist, my brothers and sisters! Sometimes it actually works.
