Pumpjack Bass Player Passes Away [VIDEO]

Last night we lost a good friend, not only to the FMX family but in the music community as well. Lance "Willie Hicks" Patterson of Lubbock favorites Pumpjack passed away last night. this is truly a sad day not just for me but with his huge ties to Lubbock.

When I first started in radio here at FMX, I was always told that I wasn't a FMX DJ until I party'd with Pumpjack. When I first met the guys of Pumpjack they such down to earth guys. Beer, BBQ and Rock And Roll were always on the table.

I wish i had the opportunity to have hung out more with Willie Hicks but sadly he was called home. I am thankful for the memories that I do have Of Willie Hicks because they are all very happy memories filled with nights of laughter and beer in the backroom of Jake's.

I bet that is one hell of a party being thrown in God's Tavern right now.
