A much-needed and very important sweep of the Baylor Bears was just what the doctor ordered for the Texas Tech Red Raider baseball team, as Tech swept the green and gold this past weekend.

Friday, the Red Raiders seemed to make light work of the Bears' offensive, outscoring Baylor 8-4. Saturday held a different story as Tech had to use an extra three innings to defeat their foe 3-2 in the 12th. Sunday was the clincher as the Red Raiders again beat Baylor by four runs, 9-5.

Tech improved to 22-14 on the season overall, and 7-5 in conference play. A series like this is perhaps the shot in the arm Tim Tadlock's troupe needed to get back to serious play. The Wildcats from Abilene Christian host the Red Raiders on Tuesday.
