Survey Says: Lubbock Ranked As One Of The Worst Cities For Vampires

Well, dang the luck, Lubbock just isn't a very good place for vampires.

A new survey compiled some factors to decide the best and worst cities for vampires. That survey looked at a number of blood centers, slaughterhouses, casket suppliers, vampire-friendly clubs, the number of potential victims, and more. Despite what some people may see as a silly survey, the amount of date in it is pretty darn impressive.

So if you were a vampire, where would be the best place to go? The answer to that is, of course, the "city that never sleeps" New York City.  But what if you're a vampire, but you're also a Texan through and through? Well then padnuh-vampire, your best bet is Houston which came in at  #6, followed by San Antonio at #33 and Austin at #63.

As a matter of fact, quite a few Texas towns made the list, with Odessa coming in as the absolute worst Texas town to be a vampire at #493. Also pretty bad are Midland #464, Abilene #383, and Amarillo #362.

All of this brings us to #359 and that would be Lubbock, Texas. Lubbock is just not getting it done when it comes to vampires, in fact, you could say that Lubbock is downright inhospitable to these blood-sucking immortals. Our number was dragged way down by a lack of "lair safety" and other "deterrents".

Myself, I think Lubbock would actually make a fine home for vampires. They could easily dwell in some of those underground labyrinths on the Tech Campus, not to mention some of the finer old homes, and of course, you would think that tornado shelters would be perfect for vampires. As for lunch, we have all of those students coming into town each year (fresh meat). Here's hoping these facts will lead to us scoring higher next year on the Best And Worst CitiesTo Be A Vampire list.
