Today Is The Final Day Of The 2013 Blood Driver
The past five days, I have had the opportunity to meet some awesome people who came through the doors at United Blood Services during the annual Blood Driver event to donate.
The past five days, I have had the opportunity to meet some awesome people who came through the doors at United Blood Services during the annual Blood Driver event to donate.
As we head into day number five of the FMX Blood Driver, I am happy to say there has been a steady stream of awesome people taking time out of their busy schedules to help United Blood Services out by donating blood.
Every day local hospitals need between 110 to 140 units of blood to meet the needs of patients for various reason ranging from accidents to surgeries. Unfortunately, this time of year donations decrease because people get busy getting back into the school and work groove after the holidays and because of wide spread illnesses like the flu. However, the need for blood does not decrease.
As we head into day number three of the annual Blood Driver event, I would like to encourage everyone reading this to grab a few friends, a few coworker's, or even family members and head over to United Blood Services.
Unfortunately, the blood supply at the United Blood Service has hit the critical level; luckily this week we're doing the 8th annual Blood Driver, where you can help out.
We kick off the 8th annual Blood Driver today (1/14) at the United Blood Services on 48th and University. The blood supply is at critical level, so we need you to step up and help us out as we try to save some lives.
It's that time of year again; time for the 2013 Blood Driver!
Did you know when you give blood you actually can save a life?
United Blood Services has teamed up with Buffalo Springs Lake for your chance to be a hero in the community, and check out Thunder in the Canyon this weekend.
Only in West Texas can you experience every season in one week! It seems like it was a week ago today that we were having winter, right
