This Saturday, United Blood Services will kick-off its Labor Day Heroes blood drive. For seven days you'll have the opportunity to give the gift of life.

United Blood Services is inviting the citizens of the South Plains to be Labor Day Heroes.

Everyone who makes a lifesaving blood donation between Saturday August 23rd and Saturday the 30th will be registered to win some great prizes. Every day a 40 inch RCA flat screen TV will be given away and other daily prizes will be announced.

The center will be open from 12:00 until 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Other locations in outlying cities and local businesses will be announced.

The Blood Donation Center is located at 48th and University.

The requirements for donating are simple:

You must be at least 16 years of age and be in good health.

Find the Hero in you. Donate at least 3 times a year!

To those in need, the simple act of giving is truly heroic.

Join our Labor Day heroes, call 797-6804 or make an appointment at www.bloodhero.com.
