Texas Tech Basketball Rises Over West Texas A&M

The Red Raiders did something this year that they didn't last year: win both of their exhibition games. Monday night saw the Red Raiders doing their thing in a 91-74 victory.

Senior captain Toddrick Gotcher amassed 23 points with a barrage of three's, five to be exact, and was the foundation of the Red Raiders' offensive attack. Look for the senior leader to be the shoulder that the team leads on in crunch time later on this year.

Devaugntah Williams also had a solid outing, finishing with 14 points and CJ Williamson showed again he can start runs for Tech. He might be the spark plug player Tubby Smith &  Co. have been missing for quite some time.

The regular season starts on Friday night against High Point at United Supermarkets Arena.
