Almost forty years have passed by since Texas Tech last made the trip down to Abilene to play some baseball, but Tuesday changed that, and changed a string of midweek losses the Red Raiders have been subjected to.

Tech squeaked out of Crutcher Scott Field with the victory in tow Tuesday evening, after defeating the Wildcats by a score of 7-6.

The W puts the Red Raiders at 23 wins on the growing season, and now the scarlet and black will set their sights on the Wildcats from farther up north. Kansas State will host Tech starting on Friday evening for the beginning of a weekend romp.

Stay tuned to see how the Red Raiders fair in Manhattan.
