Texas Tech basketball made history last night, and Lubbock was right there with them to celebrate.

In the video above, Texas Tech basketball players (and coaches!) go wild in a post-game locker room celebration.

But it didn't stop there. Red Raiders fans packed into The Garden in Lubbock's Depot District to watch the game via a wall-sized projection screen. When it became clear that Texas Tech would make program history by advancing to the Elite 8, the place erupted in cheers.

We got video of the celebration there from Jeff, bar manager at The Garden. You can check it out below.

Mark Martinez, owner of The Garden, made the trip to Boston for the game and sent us video of the moment Texas Tech beat Purdue. Keep scrolling down to watch that clip.

Texas Tech gets a one-day break before they play 1 seed Villanova in the Elite 8 on Sunday, March 25. Should the Red Raiders beat the Wildcats, they move on to the Final Four in San Antonio -- another first for the program.
