It's funny, when I express an opinion these days, some people will say "what do you know, you're just a d.j.?"  This comment usually comes from people who are in other professions that ALSO make them less than experts on any given topic. What I know is this, I pay taxes, I vote and I get an opinion and the haters can suck it.

But, let's assume I don't know anything. Maybe you'll listen to the heads of I.B.M., Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Google, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, the NFL, Visit Dallas and others. I think it's safe to say that these folks are pretty smart, and if they aren't, they're at least really powerful.

All of these businesses came out against the Texas Bathroom Bill (IBM actually paid for full page adds in major Texas newspapers a couple of days ago). This bill is not needed and is based on no real life situations. It is purely and completely designed to appeal to the voter base of our Governor and Lt. Governor. They've managed to scare enough people into thinking this is an issue and that the Babadook is hiding behind urinals waiting to pounce on people.

At this point, there's really nothing that can be done. What is going to happen is going to happen. It doesn't matter if you think I'm ignorant, or if you think these carpetbaggers are throwing around an unwanted opinion,  these businesses control major dollars that flow in and out of Texas and they WILL stop the flow over this issue.

My only reason for writing this is simple; quit supporting your side of the political fence in everything they do. Both sides make good and bad decisions. This is a bad one and while you think it may give your team a win, ultimately it gives all of us a loss.
