The Matador Kills It With Throwback Texas Tech Designs

I am not big on nostalgia, but some things transcend that.

The Matador has issued what they call their own "Eras" collection of Texas Tech Football fan apparel, and it's definitely worth your attention. Instead of picking up something that's a little trendy, the Matador has gone for timeless.

My favorite is (probably) the oldest Tech slogan of them all, the "GIVEM'L" design. I would certainly take this over pumpjacks, cactus, or whatever flavor of the week thing that is happening out there.

Next up on my list are the Southwest Conference Co-Champions designs. When I first moved to Lubbock WAY back in the day, one of the first things I saw was that Southwest Conference Seal that used to be on the Texas Tech campus. It was impressive and really made me think of Tech's stature in a whole new light.

I'll also say that there are some of us who have a real problem letting the Coach go. If you already know who I'm talking about, then you're one of us. Yes, they have Mike Leach inspired "Swing Your Sword" designs that harken back to a time when the entire town was on fire talking about the program. These are technically part of the "Eras Collection" but certainly a great way to show you're old skool.

Lastly, I will reveal that The Matador's parent company makes our radio station shirts. I only bring that up because I want you to know that they only do high-quality stuff that lasts what seems like forever. You can check out the rest of the collection and get ready for the game here.
