Today Is National Coming Out Day [VIDEO]

It is sad that this day still exists. People should be allowed to be who they are.

I've said it before, I don't know other peoples struggles. I only know that all of us have them, and we should support each other. If you're picked on because of your race, or because you have a pit bull, or whatever, you should stand up for others too. Simply put, no one deserves to be bullied for who they are.

#Nationalcomingoutday is trending on Twitter. I hope that if you are gay you are already comfortable around your family and peers. If you need this day to bust loose, then so be it.  If you want to wait, or not make it "official" that's fine too. The people who really care about you will be there for you regardless.

Some of you out there reading this really can't wrap your head around the idea of being gay. Well, it's not for you to understand. I will tell you that as you mature, as you travel and/or learn, you will ultimately be embarrassed by the people you've put down. Today would be a good day for you to try to start being a better person and accepting others differences.

Let's all make "National Coming Out Day", a day that is no longer needed.
