What Makes A Great Radio Interview? [VIDEO]

When it comes to radio interviews they are hit and miss. When I first started in radio i was stoked to be able to interview my metal and rock gods. But I found out very quickly that sometimes interviews are like pulling teeth. On wednesday i got to interview Trey who is the drummer from Dying Fetus. And it was one the best that I can remember. He didnt dish any dirt or talk trash on any other bands. He just sounded happy to do an interview and talk metal. To me thats the way an interview should be, Trey didnt have a metal ego or wasnt acting all rockstarish he was just cool. I can tell you every bad interview i have done and i certain that the other dj's here at FMX can as well. But when I do a good interview it makes me wanna support that band so much more. My advise to any band member or just anyone that has contact with humans, is just to be nice and be cool. It will get you so much farther in the world than by acting ugly.
