Frank Zappa, truly hated Edward Lionel Meadows, so much so that he wrote the song "Punky Whips." Edward Lionel Meadows was born on Febuary 6, 1950 in Washington D.C. While still in Jr. High, he played in his first band, the Intruders. He would go on to play in The Cherry People, BUX and eventually Angel.

Angel formed in 1974 and the band was signed to the Casablanca record label after being discovered by Gene Simmons. Angel was the ultimate "glam" band, costumes of all white and insane stage sets. Edward would play guitar for the band from 1974-1981.

At #3 on my list of cool rockstar names I give you, PUNKY MEADOWS. Now don't be a punk and check out the video.
