When Facebook and the internet still had the plastic-y smell of newness about them, some of us (and us I said us-guilty as charged) thought we'd complain about some of the reoccurring themes. At this point in history, it's time to stop bitching because those things that bother you are part and parcel of the online experience.

So what am I talking about? Oh, just the random stuff people bitch about that should be expected on the internet these days.

First up is the tern and the idea of "click bait". Just shut up. People have learned to write headlines that draw peoples attention. Big deal if you don't like it. At least people know whether they're interested or not instantly without having to guess what the story is about. Your cynical claims of "click bait" don't make you cool, it makes you look like an oblivious ass that's never been on the internet before.

Next up is game requests. It seems every other day someone has a meltdown over getting game requests. You have to hit ONE button to delete those requests. Quit acting like you're doing some heavy lifting or something. I've explained this one before-at least someone likes you enough that you want to be a part of the fun they're having. You should be more concerned if no one wants to invite your unsociable ass to play.

Number three is "who cares?". Well, every time you type "who cares", you've proven that you cared enough to write "who cares?". Someone who truly doesn't care, would have skipped over whatever you wrote "who cares?" about the first time.

The very term and concept of "grammar police". Most of us do know the difference between "your", and "you're", but we're typing so fast that we don't notice when the auto-correct kicks in with the wrong word. It's okay to correct someone who constantly makes these mistakes, but it DOES NOT take away the relevance of someones statement because the wrong instance of "you're" was included in the argument.

In short, you expect to be treated a certain way when you go to a restaurant. The internet is the same way, for better of worse there is a certain way you'll be treated and certain things you'll see time and time again. Complaining about these things just makes you look like a jerk, not like you're helping to improve the experience for yourself or anyone else.
