It's hot as hell outside right now in Texas, and a little kindness goes a long way for the men and women that work outdoors.

A heartwarming video was shared to TikTok by user @foxymamabailey of a father and son waiting outside in the heat to give some cold water to their garbage collector.

Small gestures like this could really make a huge difference in someone's day, and it's always nice to know that you are appreciated for your work. Sanitation services are crucial to keeping the world moving along smoothly. If you happen to come across someone dumping your trash, be sure to tell them thanks if you have the chance.

Delivery drivers, lawn care providers, garbage collectors, road workers and anyone who spends the majority of their time outdoors in the Texas heat deserve a serious pat on the back. You guys help make the world a better place.

Sometimes when you cover news stories pertaining to all of the bad things going on in the world, you forget about just how many good things are happening, too. Good people are doing their very best every day to let their neighbors know they are loved and appreciated.

I'll do my best to find more positive things to share with you guys as often as I can. If you're a TikToker with a positive, funny or insightful video pertaining to Lubbock or Texas in general, I'd love to see it. Follow me on TikTok @ChrissyFromTheRadio and send me your videos there. I'll throw them in an article if I can.
