Supergroup Art of Anarchy Unveil ‘Small Batch Whiskey’ Lyric Video
The Scott Weiland-fronted supergroup Art of Anarchy have released more new music. You can check out the lyric video for the track "Small Batch Whiskey" above. It's from their forthcoming self-titled debut album that's set for a June 2 release.
Bassist John Moyer says, ""Small Batch Whiskey"'s heavy guitar riffs and great rock groove create a perfect foundation for a very unique and powerful vocal performance from Scott."
Even though Weiland sings on the album and shot the video for the song "'Til the Dust is Gone," he has distanced himself from Art of Anarchy, whose other members include guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns N’ Roses), Moyer (Disturbed), guitarist Jon Votta and drummer Vince Votta.
In a statement a few months back, Weiland said, “I wrote and put my vocals down for these guys and had fun doing a couple of videos too, we had a lot of fun. When they find their frontman to hit the road and play some dates, check them out. In the meantime, if you want to check out where I’m at RIGHT NOW, check out my band, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts.”
In a recent interview, Weiland says it was never his intent to be part of the group: “I wish I could say I was surprised [I was mentioned as a member], but I wasn’t surprised. It was a scam from the beginning.”
You won't be seeing Weiland play live with Art of Anarchy, but he is currently on tour with the Wildabouts. He recently made news with a bizarre, monotone and off key performance of “Vasoline” at a show in Texas, but blamed it on an equipment problem.
