Austin Woman Wants to Make Catcalling a Fineable Offense
One Texas woman is taking action against what she considers disgusting behavior from men yelling comments at her.
KVUE did a report on Anna Aldridge, who insists she is harassed every time she goes for a run. She is now determined to put a stop to it by creating a petition. She also encourages women to bring a camera with them to catch any perpetrators.
She want to make catcalling a ticketable offense. She claims men have said things like "Hey, baby," "Woo-hoo!" and have also made kissy faces at her.
To prove this is in fact a real story, you can visit her website and Facebook page to support the mission.
What do you think? Does Aldridge have a good point? Or would this be a crime police would struggle to enforce?
