Rigor Mortis / Warbeast Vocalist Bruce Corbitt Dead at 56

We’re sad to report that Rigor Mortis / Warbeast vocalist Bruce Corbitt has died at age 56 after a battle with esophageal cancer.

Corbitt was diagnosed in May 2017 and initially received some good news on a potential recovery, even returning to the stage in 2018. However, Corbitt was later informed his cancer had progressed to Stage 4 and was terminal. The vocalist was moved to hospice care earlier this month.

"I may not have won this fight, but I did beat it longer than most would have," Corbitt said. "I got some extra time in life. I couldn't have done it without my beautiful wife Jeanna Corbitt. The hardest part for me is just knowing that I will have to leave her." [via Blabbermouth]
