With the warm weather upon us that means, Girl Scout cookies and they are out and about camped out at your favorite stores waiting on you. And to answer the question "Can You Scare A Girl Scout" the answer is no.

Over the past few years I have started to notice that it doesn't matter where the Girl Scouts are they will find me and ask "Sir would you like to buy some Girl Scout Cookies?" and it's not about the cookies, OK maybe just a little bit but I can't turn them down and say no.

Now I am pretty big dude, covered in tattoos, a big beard and usually can be seen wearing a metal t-shirt. There are some that find this intimidating especially if I am in a hurry and have my game face on. This past Saturday I was at Hastings and I knew right when I pulled into the parking lot and saw the ninjas better known as Girl Scouts that I wasn't going to buy any cookies, I had a plan and it was not to make eye contact with any of them make a B line straight into the store without any confrontation.

As soon as I was spotted walking across the parking lot I knew I was in trouble, so I took off my sunglasses and I went to plan B. As I approached the door I was meant by a little girl who stopped me (she couldn't have been older than 6) she asked "Sir, would you like to buy um buy um some Girl Scout cookies?" now before this girl stopped me I had my shades off and was giving her just a little mean mug, I was trying to look tough but it had no effect on this little girl. The mother's of the Girl Scouts were standing behind the table where they had one of the Girl Scouts by the hand and was telling the little girl that stopped me "to get back here" now I don't now if she wasn't suppose to get out behind the table and greet people or if it was just me and the way I looked either way I was trapped.

After she asked if I would like to buy some cookies, I couldn't say no to her so she stuck out her hand and said come with me so we walked hand in hand no more than 15 steps to table set up and she told me her favorite was Caramel deLites and I should get those, I bought 2 boxes and told the little girl thank you.

I have just accepted the fact that I will have to buy Girl Scout Cookies for the rest of my life.
