The Foo Fighters celebrated the release of their new single, Something From Nothing, by jamming with Rick Nielsen, of Cheap Trick, Thursday night on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Day four of the Foo Fighters weeklong residency on Letterman proved to be just as epic as the previous three. This time, Dave Grohl played the drums and Taylor Hawkins took the mic as Nielsen played and sang along on the Cheap Trick hit from 1978.

Earlier this week, the Foo Fighters jammed with Zac Brown, Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart, and Tony Joe White.

The Foo Fighters will wrap up their stay on Letterman tonight as they're on the show to promote the upcoming HBO rockumentary, Sonic Highways, which premieres tonight at 11pm.

Following tonight's premiere, the band will play a concert in Chicago that will be streamed live on HBO's Facebook page.
