The last of the NASCAR preseason festivities took place Thursday night, as the field of drivers participated in the two "qualifying" races for the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

The first Can-Am Duel ended with the #88 taking the checkered, which that team has become so automatic at in Daytona, and Michael McDowell earning the single qualifying spot up for grabs for the biggest race of the year.

The second Duel would feature a grizzly, last-lap pileup with well-known drivers including Jimmie Johnson, Martin Truex Jr. and Matt Kenseth. Kenseth will now have to start from the back due to car replacement. Kyle Busch strolled to victory, the wreckage happening far in his rear view mirror, and Robert Richardson Jr., a driver who was "back home in Texas" doing some farm work two weeks ago, now has a shot to make his name known in the 500.

It'll all go down Sunday afternoon.
