DeMarcus Ware is arguably the greatest Dallas Cowboy defensive player of all-time, so it's fitting that he returns home to where he spent the first nine years of his career.

Ware started 140 games for the Cowboys, compiling 117 sacks during his time with the team. His most prolific year came in 2008, when he racked up 20 sacks in a single season. Ware also tallied 442 tackles and 32 forced fumbles, along with two interceptions and three touchdowns.

Ware spent his final three years in Denver, where he added 21.5 more sacks bringing his total to 138.5.

Ware has a great chance to be in the Hall of Fame and an even better chance to be in the Ring of Honor for the Dallas Cowboys. All of that will only be told with time, but as the franchise sack leader by more than 20, you could make a pretty strong case.

DeMarcus Ware was a very bright spot during a very average time in Dallas Cowboys history.

Congratulations for a great career, DeMarcus. May you be successful in your future endeavors.
