The Red Raiders have had a CFL presence for the last several seasons. In fact, one of the best DB's in the CFL since 2012 has been Jamar Wall the former Red Raider corner back. Wall has two Grey Cups on his resume and multiple all-star seasons as well.

Wall resigned with Calgary this offseason, the team he's been with from the start, and now the reigning champions are looking for the repeat. The Stampeders returns one the leagues best QB's in Bo Levi Mitchell which sets up the leagues top offense while Jamar Wall holds up the defensive side that allowed the least amount of points per game last season.

An emerging star on the CFL scene is Linebacker Micah Awe who played for BC before signing with Toronto as a middle linebacker this offseason. In 25 games for BC Awe totaled 104 tackles. If you talk to CFL insiders or broadcasters about the hardest hitters in the CFL Micah Awe's name will come up as one of the heaviest hitters in the game.

Awe also joined the Rob Breaux Show to talk about his future in the CFL and updating the Red Raider fans on his road to the CFL.

If you listened to both interviews this is the Jamar Wall hit that was referenced by Awe.

Also in the CFL this upcoming season is former Red Raider and Arizona Hotshot Justin Stockton who will join a loaded offense in Hamilton for the Tiger-Cats. Stockton is a sneaky breakout candidate after being in the AAF for it's time. The CFL field is wider and the space is where Stockton thrives. Watch out for those Ti-Cats this season who got hot last year after dumping the Manziel circus.

Just for fun here is Stockton's best run from the short lived AAF:
