Former Flyleaf singer Lacey Sturm will be joining Skillet for a few upcoming dates, filling in on vocals for Jen Ledger.

Ledger, the drummer and female vocalist for Skillet, released a solo self titled EP last year, and will be embarking on the 2019 Winter Jam Tour in support of it. Some of the dates conflict with five of Skillet's shows on their upcoming tour with Breaking Benjamin, so Sturm will be singing in her place. It should be noted that Sturm will not be playing drums, as the group will use a fill in during Ledger's absence. The five stops featuring Sturm include Saginaw, Mich., Milwaukee, Wis., LaCrosse, Wis., Mankato, Minn. and Bismarck, N.D.

The former Flyleaf singer and solo artist was featured on a Skillet song in 2017, "Breaking Free," so this will not be her first time working with the band. Take a listen to that track below.

Sturm's latest release was actually a book. Her third literary offering, The Return: Reflections on Loving God Back,  was issued in May 2018. "It just talks about bringing your heart back to God and your life to God in response to his love for us, and what that looks like when you follow your dreams, when you steward your inspiration and make the most with what's right in front of you," she said in a video discussing the book.
