Ghost's Papa Emeritus III may be gone, but he doesn't have to be forgotten thanks to KnuckleBonz, who have revealed that the striking Ghost vocalist is the next subject in their line of mini-statue collectibles.

At the end of Ghost's most recent tour cycle in Gothenberg, Sweden, two men in suits burst upon the stage grabbing the singer and taking him away. A few moments later, a rather feeble new figure using a cane and oxygen tank and appearing in a white robe and headdress addressed the crowd, stating, "I am Papa Emeritus Zero. The party is over and now a new era begins. The Middle Ages begin now." As has become tradition, at the end of each Ghost album cycle, a new "Papa" replaces the former singer, so it appears as though we've seen the last of Papa Emeritus III.

However, KnuckleBonz has commemorated Papa Emeritus III in fine detail, hand-painting their statue, numbering it and making sure that the limited-edition release comes with a certificate of authenticity on the base of the statue. The figure stands approximately 8.5" tall and has been officially licensed. Only 1666 of the statues were created and they will be delivered in February 2018.

As for Ghost, the band has been working on new music for their next studio album. During a recent interview, Ghost vocalist Tobias Forge stated, "We've been in the studio for about a month now. And by the end of the year, if everything goes according to plan -- knock, knock -- we're gonna have a new album, not out, but we're gonna have a new [album] recorded and mixed and delivered." Later in the same interview, the singer added that it was his hope to release the next disc in April 2018.
