GWAR is a band that knows exactly how to have a good time. They continue to soldier on for all hard rock fans even after the untimely death of front man Oderus Urungus (real name David Brockie) in March of 2014.

The infamous interplanetary warriors that are GWAR just made their fourth appearance on The A.V. Club’s  (an Onion subsidiary site) A.V. Undercover Series, that features famous bands covering classic hits. GWAR made their A.V. Undercover debut in 2012 with Kansas’ Carry on Wayward Son, winning best cover of the year.

The band appeared this year to cover Cyndi Lauper’s She Bop, which, back in the 80s, landed on the list of the "filthy 15’ that led to Tipper Gore and the PMRC getting all up in the music business" (according to the A.V. Club).

Although the band is composed of all non-original members, they have continued to carry on the twisted legacy of GWAR.

GWAR is playing three shows in major Texas cities in late-November. Tickets are available online.
